RANDOLPH COUNTY, IN - The Randolph County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal collision between a train and a truck, according to a report by WTHR.
The accident happened Saturday morning at a railroad crossing on County Road 440 East near County Road 100 North at about 8:10 a.m.
An initial investigation indicated that the driver of a pickup truck drove onto the tracks while waiting for a train to pass but likely did not see another train that struck the vehicle and pushed it for nearly a mile.
The man in the truck, identified as 26-year-old Tristan M. Fullenkamp, was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital.
