RIO RANCHO, NM - Police in Rio Rancho were called to the scene of a fatal car accident on Sunday morning, the Rio Rancho Observer reports.
Police were alerted to the incident by a passerby who encountered the rollover crash in the area of Pine Road and Rainbow Boulevard. Officers who responded at about 6:15 a.m. found a woman dead at the scene. Her identity was not immediately disclosed.
It was determined by investigators that the wreck had occurred sometime during the overnight hours. The investigation found that speed was a contributing factor in the incident.
