GALLUP, NM - A woman was killed in a railroad accident in Gallup last week, according to a report by KOAT.
The incident happened at the intersection of Route 66 and S. 2nd Street, where officers were called to the scene on Thursday shortly after 5 p.m. The victim, whose identity was not released, was struck and killed by a train at that location.
Train services through the area were suspended while Gallup police were conducting their investigation. Roads near the 2nd Street crossing were also closed for several hours.
