ALBUQUERQUE, NM - Albuquerque police were called to the scene of a fatal pedestrian accident late Monday night, reports KOB.
A woman was pushing a shopping cart in the northbound lane of Pennsylvania Street near Mountain Road NE sometime before 11:20 p.m., investigators said. She was hit there by a northbound silver Volkswagen sedan.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the driver who hit her drove away without stopping to help.
