SANTA FE, NM - The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred last week, according to the Santa Fe New Mexican.
Authorities responded to the scene on Interstate 25 near Eldorado after being notified of the crash Jan. 2 shortly after 9 p.m. An investigation found that a woman walking on the southbound side of I-25 was struck and killed by a vehicle. Her identity was not immediately released.
The sheriff's office said it did not yet have details on the vehicle involved or the driver who left the scene after the accident.
