SPEEDWAY, IN - Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck a woman and her daughter in Speedway on Wednesday night, WXIN reports.
The incident took place in the area of W 25th Street and North Lynhurst Drive. The pedestrians, Leslie Drake-Brown and her 14-year-old daughter, were walking in a crosswalk while headed home at about 8:30 p.m. after a concert at Speedway High School.
The two were struck by a black SUV making a turn from North Lynhurst Drive onto 25th Street. The driver kept going without stopping to help.
The victims are now recovering from the various injuries they sustained, as the investigation into the crash continues.
