Woman's car hit by street racers on northwest side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - A woman was taken to the hospital after her car was reported to have been struck by street racers in Indianapolis last week, according to WXIN.

Police were called to the scene in the 3700 block of West Kessler Boulevard North Drive on the city's northwest side at about 11 p.m. on Sept. 10. 

An investigation determined that multiple vehicles had been racing in the right lane of the street while traveling at least twice the speed limit and crashed into the rear of the woman's car, a 2016 Hyundai Tucson.  The woman, who is pregnant, was treated and released from Methodist Hospital and her car was totaled..

Two of the alleged street racers were arrested on charges that included reckless driving and criminal recklessness.
