1 dead in accident involving garbage truck in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Indianapolis police said a man was killed in an accident involving a garbage truck on Wednesday, WTHR reports.

The incident happened on the city's northwest side, in the area of Georgetown Road and West 71st Street. According to police, a garbage truck fell on top of a car at that location shortly after noon.

The man who died was identified as 24-year-old Jacob Lloyd O'Neil Baugh. No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Indianapolis police department.
