16-year-old fatally struck by hit-and-run driver in Clinton County

CLINTON COUNTY, IN - A teenager was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Clinton County early Sunday morning, authorities said.

According to WTHR, the victim was a 16-year-old Rossville boy who was struck by a car at 2:30 a.m. while walking on the westbound side of U.S. 421 near State Road 26.  The teen was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital in Indianapolis.

The driver involved left the scene and is now being sought by the Clinton County Sheriff's Office.  Deputies said they are looking for a vehicle with front-end and passenger-side damage.

Anyone with information on the incident was asked to contact investigators or the Clinton County Sheriff's TIP line.
