2 critically injured in rollover accident in Wakeshma Township

KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI - The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office said a rollover accident on Monday afternoon left two people critically injured, MLive.com reports.

The incident occurred south of Kalamazoo, in the 16000 block of East W Avenue in Wakeshma Township. The sheriff's office said a car ran off the roadway at about 3:15 p.m. and overturned several times.

Two people were ejected from the vehicle and were rushed to area hospitals, where they were listed in critical condition.

Accident investigators believe that speed and improper use of seat belts were contributing factors in the crash and subsequent injuries.
