GRANT COUNTY, IN - Authorities responded to the scene of a fatal two-vehicle wreck in Grant County late Friday night, according to WRTV.
The incident took place on Indiana State Road 37, where officers arrived at about 11:13 p.m. The Grant County Sheriff's Office said the crash involved a 2009 Chevrolet and a 2019 Jeep Cherokee SUV. The investigation found that one of the drivers was headed north and drove off the roadway. The vehicle began to spin out of control and collided with the other vehicle.
Two people in the Chevrolet, the male driver and a female passenger, died at the scene. Their names were not immediately released. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to a hospital but no details were released on the person's condition.
Alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor in the accident, police said.
