CALHOUN COUNTY, MI - The Calhoun County Sheriff's Department is investigating a wreck that left two people injured early Friday morning
According to WKZO, there were two separate crashes that happened on Interstate 94 eastbound near the overpass for Interstate 69. A preliminary investigation indicated that one vehicle crashed into a guardrail on I-69 shortly before 4 a.m. and was blocking both lanes when it was struck by a second eastbound vehicle.
Two people in the second vehicle were taken to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo with undisclosed injuries.
The driver of the first vehicle was arrested and taken to the Calhoun County Jail. The sheriff's department said alcohol was believed to have been a contributing factor in the initial crash.
