3 hurt in crash after driver goes through stop sign in Elkhart County

ELKHART COUNTY, IN - A collision at an intersection in Elkhart County Saturday afternoon left three people injured, WSBT reported.

Authorities said one driver disregarded a stop sign at County Road 1 and County Road 26 at about 1:30 p.m.  The car struck another vehicle that flipped over and landed in a nearby yard.  

The driver of the first vehicle, a 47-year-old man, the driver of the second vehicle, an 81-year-old man, and a passenger were taken to an area hospital.  Their conditions were not disclosed.

Investigators do not believe that drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.
