HAMILTON COUNTY, IN - Police said a collision at an intersection in Hamilton County on Friday claimed the life of a 9-year-old girl, according to WTHR.
An investigation determined that a van had stopped at a four-way stop at West 206th Street and Six Points Road just after 5 p.m. As the driver entered the intersection, the vehicle was struck by a northbound SUV whose driver apparently disregarded the stop sign. Both vehicles then hit another car that was going south on Six Points Road.
The young girl, who was a passenger in the van, died after being taken to Peyton Manning Children's Hospital. The van driver, a juvenile, was taken to the same hospital.
Two other people were injured in the wreck, which remains under investigation.
