MISHAWAKA, IN - Authorities in St. Joseph County are trying to track down the driver responsible for the death of a bicycle rider on Tuesday morning, according to WNDU.
The incident took place in the 1100 block of E. 12th Street in Mishawaka at about 6:15 a.m. An investigation found that 19-year-old Varinder Singh was riding a bicycle westbound when he was hit by a blue or dark-colored Chevrolet SUV.
Police officers arrived to find Singh dead. The driver involved had left the scene.
Anyone with further information on the incident was asked to contact the St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team.
