ALLEGAN COUNTY, MI - A two-vehicle collision in Allegan County on Sunday afternoon left one person dead and four others injured, WKZO reported.
The Allegan County Sheriff's Office said the driver of a sedan heading west failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection of 136th Avenue and 58th Street in Fillmore Township at about 1:30 p.m.
The sedan was struck by a pickup truck gong north on 58th Street. Cars traveling on 58th Street have the right of way at the two-way stop, the sheriff's office said.
The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene, while four passengers in the car, including three children, were hospitalized with serious and life-threatening injuries. The pickup truck driver was not injured.
Investigators were trying to determine whether drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.
