Crash on Emerson Avenue in Greenwood injures 2, blocks traffic

GREENWOOD, IN - The Greenwood Fire Department reported it was at the scene of a serious vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon.

In a Facebook post at 4:05 p.m., officials said the accident happened on Emerson Avenue south of County Line Road. All lanes were blocked, causing traffic delays in both directions. Southbound traffic was backed up past the county line.

According to WXIN, the Johnson County Sheriff's Office said two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The sheriff's office is investigating the cause of the crash.
