Crews respond to 2 separate crashes at bypass in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, IN - Two separate accidents were reported Thursday morning in the area of the US-20 Bypass in South Bend, according to WBND.

Both took place between 8:15 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.  In one incident, the driver of a semi-trailer carrying pigs veered off the road while heading west on Ironwood Road, and the vehicle flipped.  There was no immediate word on whether anyone in the semi or any of the pigs were injured.

The other accident involved a vehicle that struck an object on an off-ramp.  No injuries were reported.  Traffic was slowed for drivers traveling through the area.
