ELKHART COUNTY, IN - A driver was cited following a crash in Elkhart County Thursday afternoon that sent three people to the hospital.
WBND reports two vehicles were involved in the collision in the area of State Road 15 and County Road 40 in Goshen.
The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office said the driver of a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu was headed south on State Road 15 at about 4:22 p.m. and slowed down to make a left turn onto County Road 40.
The driver of a southbound 2013 Subaru Impreza was following behind too closely, investigators said, and struck the Malibu from behind.
The Subaru driver, 27-year-old Osvaldo Rodriguez of Warsaw, was transported to Goshen General Hospital with an arm and wrist injury. The Malibu driver, 38-year-old Barbara S. Mast of Goshen, and a 14-year-old passenger in the front seat were taken to the same hospital with neck, shoulder, and knee pain.
Rodriguez was cited by sheriff's deputies for following too closely-bodily injury.
