Driver dies after crashing into tree on Fall Creek Parkway

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Police said a driver was killed in a car accident in Indianapolis early Sunday morning, reports WISH.

The wreck took place as the driver was headed south on Fall Creek Parkway near East 32nd Street at about 3:35 a.m. An investigation indicated that the vehicle went off the roadway and crashed into a tree.

The motorist was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital. He was later identified as 30-year-old Mitchell Benson IV.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is continuing its investigation into the crash, which shut down Fall Creek Parkway.
