LAFAYETTE, IN - The Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office said a man was killed when his vehicle was involved in a collision on Saturday afternoon.
The Journal & Courier reports the crash took place on Indiana 25 in West Point at about 1:20 p.m. An investigation determined that 40-year-old Jonathan Chrstenberry of Lafayette was driving south in a Ford F-150 when he lost control at a curve near Tippecanoe County Road 750 South.
The Ford crossed over the center line and crashed head-on into a northbound Nissan Versa driven by 68-year-old Richard Slinker of Attica.
The Nissan caught fire, and Slinker was pronounced dead at the scene. Christenberry managed to get out of the Ford and was taken to IU Arnett Hospital, though no information was immediately released on his condition.
West Point firefighters assisted the county sheriff's office at the scene.
