INDIANAPOLIS, IN - An accident involving a sport utility vehicle on Wednesday claimed the life of the driver, Indianapolis police said.
A report by WXIN said the SUV driver was going east on Greenfield Avenue shortly after noon and went through a stop sign at South Aubobon Road. The vehicle was then sideswiped by another vehicle, struck guidewires from a power line, and flipped onto its side.
The driver, identified as 29-year-old Caitlin Lauren Wilson, died of her injuries. She reportedly lived near the crash scene on the city's east side.
No serious injuries were reported among the six occupants of the vehicle that struck Wilson's car. Police spent several hours investigating at the scene, and traffic through the area was affected.
