Driver killed in 3-vehicle accident on US 30 in Kosciusko County

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, IN - Police in Kosciusko County were dispatched to the scene of a fatal multi-vehicle accident last Wednesday morning, reports WNDU.

The incident began when a vehicle became stopped in the left lane and shoulder of US-30 near County Road 450 East due to a flat tire at about 5:40 a.m.  As other vehicles slowed down in the area, the driver of a Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck collided with a Buick Rendesvous and pushed it into the back of a GMC Arcadia.  

The Chevrolet driver died after being taken to an area hospital.  He was identified as 58-year-old Jay King of Pierceton.  The drivers of the Buick and the GMC were not injured in the wreck.

The Kosciusko County Fatal Team is investigating the cause of the crash.
