Man, 20, killed when car crashes into tree in Elkhart County

ELKHART COUNTY, IN - A driver was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Elkhart County on Saturday afternoon, according to a WSBT report.

The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office said a man drove off the road while heading east on County Road 8 east of Songbird Way at about 2:15 p.m. The car crashed into a tree and overturned.

The driver died at the scene. He was identified as 20-year-old Spencer Vermeule of Cambridge, Massachusetts. No one else was in the vehicle.
