Motorcyclist dies following collision with car on Brookville Road

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Police were called to the scene of a fatal accident involving a motorcycle on Brookville Road in Indianapolis, reports WTHR.

Investigators said the motorcycle collided with a small car near South Kitley Avenue on the city's east side at about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. The man riding the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving measures attempted by responding officers. The victim's identity was not disclosed.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department's fatal crash team is trying to determine the cause of the crash. The area near the intersection was closed to traffic for the investigation.
