Motorcyclist killed in Indianapolis hit-and-run incident

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said a man was arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred Sunday evening.

WXIN reports police were called to the scene in the area of East Raymond Street and South Sherman Avenue.  An investigation determined that a motorcyclist was headed west on W. Raymond Street sometime before 7:50 p.m. when he was hit by a truck.  The motorcycle also collided with a third vehicle.

The motorcyclist, 25-year-old Jordan Thomas Farrell, died at the scene.  Police said the driver of the truck that struck him left the scene but was located and detained at another location.  The alleged driver, 54-year-old Michael Crowdus, was arrested on a preliminary charge of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
