South Bend man killed when car hits bicycle on County Road 7

ELKHART COUNTY, IN - A bicyclist riding on County Road 7 in Elkhart County was fatally struck by a vehicle last Thursday night, police said.

A report in the Goshen News stated that the incident took place near Hallie Road in Osolo Township. According to investigators, the bicyclist was riding shortly before 9:10 p.m. when he was struck by a northbound 2015 Ford Escape driven by a 17-year-old girl.

The bicycle rider died after being transported to an area hospital. He was identified as 37-year-old Morris Williams of South Bend.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation into the accident.
