Woman killed in Indianapolis collision involving go-kart and SUV

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Police were called to the scene of a fatal collision on the east side of Indianapolis on Monday night, WXIN reports.

Responding officers arriving at 10:10 p.m. found that two people operating a go-kart had been struck by an SUV in the area of 16th Street and Fenton Avenue.  One of the people on the go-kart, 31-year-old Ambra Menee Alcozer, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The other person, a man, was hospitalized in stable condition.

Police said the driver of the SUV left the scene of the crash and is now being sought.  No description of the vehicle was available yet.

Investigators are looking for any witnesses or video that might help them locate the driver and vehicle involved.
