CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP, MI - A car and a semi-truck were involved in a deadly crash near Caledonia Township on Thursday morning, according to Michigan State Police.
A report by WOOD stated that the vehicles collided at the intersection of Cherry Valley Avenue and 100th Street. A preliminary investigation indicated that the car crossed over the center line at about 5:30 a.m. and struck the semi that was going north on Cherry Valley Avenue.
The driver of the car died at the scene, while a passenger was hospitalized in critical condition. The truck driver was not injured in the wreck.
The area was shut down to traffic for the crash investigation and cleanup of a fuel spill.
