Richmond, Indiana is located on the far east of the state bordering Ohio and is considered part of the Dayton, Ohio metropolitan area. Richmond’s claim to fame is that the earliest jazz recordings were made at Gennett Records including the recordings of Louis Armstrong. Though Richmond is quite small, it is rich in historical and architectural charm.
