ALBUQUERQUE, NM - One person died following a collision involving a stolen car in southeast Albuquerque, according to KOAT.
Albuquerque police officers were called to the scene Sept. 30 in the vicinity of Cardenas Drive SE and Bell Avenue SE after the incident took place at about 2 p.m.
An investigation determined that the driver of the stolen car was traveling at high speed and ran through a stop sign before colliding with another car. A passenger in the front seat of the second vehicle suffered fatal injuries.
Albuquerque police said that speed was a contributing factor in the wreck, but added that the driver of the stolen car had not yet been taken into custody. Should any additional information come to light, our Albuquerque car accident lawyer will update this news blog.
