LAS CRUCES, NM - Authorities in Las Cruces said a driver was injured when his car crashed into a building last week.
According to a report by KVIA, the accident occurred Thursday at the intersection of Three Crosses Avenue and Alameda Boulevard shortly after 9 a.m.
Firefighters called to the scene found that a car had slammed into a fence and then hit a detached storage building. The driver was transported to an area hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Las Cruces rescue crews installed support for the walls of the damaged building due to concerns it could collapse into a nearby home.
