TUCUMCARI, NM - Emergency crews were at the scene of an accident that affected traffic in Quay County on Friday morning.
The New Mexico Department of Transportation notified drivers of the crash in an alert on NMRoads at 6:41 a.m. The incident happened on Interstate 40 at mile marker 353, 17 miles east of Tucumcari.
The right lane and left shoulder of I-40 were shut down for the crash response. Officials said NMRoads would be updated as the conditions change. Further updates will be provided by our Albuquerque car accident lawyer as more information becomes available regarding the incident.
