ALBUQUERQUE, NM - A crash on Interstate 40 in Albuquerque affected traffic during Tuesday morning's rush hour.
The New Mexico Department of Transportation alerted drivers to the incident in an advisory on NMRoads at 8:38 a.m. The accident happened on Interstate 40 westbound at mile marker 169, about two miles east of Tramway Boulevard. The two right lanes were closed on I-40 west while authorities responded to the scene.
Drivers traveling through the area were advised to slow down, use caution, and seek alternate routes.
