SANTA FE, NM - Police said a driver left the scene after hitting a bicyclist in Santa Fe last week, reports the Santa Fe New Mexican.
Officers responded to Old Pecos Trail on Aug. 1 after the hit-and-run occurred sometime before 6:16 a.m. According to investigators, a 49-year-old man was riding a bicycle south when he was struck from behind by a vehicle.
The bicycle rider was seriously injured in the collision. The driver involved did not stop to help, according to investigators.
