ALBUQUERQUE, NM - The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred on Sunday night.
According to a KRQE report, it happened along Zuni Road SE near Kentucky Street SE just after 8 p.m. Police say a man riding a bicycle across Zuni Road was struck by an eastbound Ford pickup truck. The bicycle rider was listed in critical condition after being transported to UNM Hospital.
The driver of the truck fled the scene without stopping to help, and was last seen going east on Zuni Road and then north on Louisiana Boulevard. Investigators released a description of the vehicle they are looking for, saying it was a gray or charcoal Ford F250, possibly a 2020 model, with extensive front-end damage and no rear tailgate.
