ALBUQUERQUE, NM - Police and first responders were called to the scene of a car crash at a diner in northeast Albuquerque on Friday afternoon, KRQE reports.
Authorities said a car slammed into the side of Kap's Coffee Shop on Central Avenue near San Mateo Boulevard. The driver, a man believed to be in his 70's, was transported from the scene by ambulance. No one inside the restaurant was injured.
Albuquerque Police said there had been no evidence to indicate the man was driving under the influence. The diner sustained significant damage. There was no immediate word on the cause of the incident.
