Clovis man dies after being struck by vehicle near intersection

CLOVIS, NM - Police in Clovis are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred last week, reports Myhighplains.com.

Police responded to the scene Sept. 27 near the intersection of North Walnut Street and E. Fifth Street shortly before 7 a.m.  Officers found that a man was lying in the roadway after being struck by a vehicle.

The victim, identified as 54-year-old Joseph Sandoval, was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital.

The driver involved in the incident remained at the scene and was reported to be cooperating with crash investigators from the Clovis Police Department.  Our Albuquerque car accident lawyer will update this news blog with any additional information as it comes to light.
