ALBUQUERQUE, NM - Authorities said three people were injured in a car wreck in northwest Albuquerque on Sunday morning.
KRQE reported the accident occurred in the area of Coors Boulevard and Paseo del Norte Boulevard at about 10:51 a.m.
Witnesses said that the driver of a Lexus was making a left turn from Coors Boulevard onto Paseo del Norte Boulevard while the traffic light was still red. A Ford truck going south on Coors had the green light and collided with the Lexus.
A passenger was ejected from the Lexus and transported to the hospital in critical condition. The two drivers sustained injuries that were not life-threatening.
Charges were reported to be pending against the driver of the Lexus, who was suspected of driving while intoxicated. The crash remains under investigation.
