ALBUQUERQUE, NM - A crash slowed rush-hour traffic for drivers in Albuquerque on Thursday morning, according to the New Mexico Department of Transportation.
The DOT issued an alert on NMRoads shortly after 8 a.m. regarding the accident. It happened on Interstate 25 southbound at the westbound ramp to Interstate 40 at the Big I. The two right lanes on I-25 southbound were shut down at mile marker 226 while emergency crews responded to the scene.
Motorists were advised to expect heavy delays when traveling through the area.
