SAN PABLO, NM - An accident shut down a stretch of Interstate 10 in Dona Ana County on Wednesday morning, the New Mexico Department of Transportation said.
According to an alert on NMRoads at 8:25 a.m., there was a crash and vehicle fire on I-10 eastbound at mile marker 142 in San Pablo. Traffic was being detoured at University Avenue near milepost 142. There was no immediate word on whether anyone had been injured.
Drivers were asked to slow down, obey the posted signs, and watch for emergency personnel and equipment. Traffic delays were expected.
