RUIDOSO, NM - New Mexico State Police announced the arrest of an alleged drunk driver in connection with a fatal accident in Ruidoso on Tuesday night, reports KTSM.
An investigation found that 22-year-old Jadyn Wyatt Mow of Nogal was driving a Dodge Ram pickup truck northbound on Mechem Drive shortly before 10 p.m. when he crossed the center line into oncoming traffic.
The Ram collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 46-year-old George S.Fitzgibbon of Ruidoso.
Fitzgibbon was pronounced dead at the scene, while Mow sustained minor injuries.
State Police said Mow was driving under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested on a charge of DWI resulting in great bodily harm or death. The crash remains under investigation.
