ALBUQUERQUE, NM - A driver was critically injured in a multi-vehicle accident in Albuquerque Tuesday morning, reports KRQE.
According to Albuquerque police, the driver of a Ford Fiesta was headed north on Fourth Street NW near Menaul Boulevard and attempted to make a left turn onto Cordova Avenue NW. At that point, another vehicle hit the Ford on the passenger side and caused it to roll over. The accident also resulted in a parked, unoccupied vehicle being struck.
The Ford driver was rushed to an area hospital and was initially listed in critical condition before being upgraded to stable condition.
Police investigating the wreck said the main cause was the Ford driver making the turn, while speed also was a contributing factor.
