ROSWELL, NM - Roswell police and fire crews were called to the scene of a rollover accident last Thursday afternoon, the Roswell Daily Record reports.
Police said a driver fell asleep at the wheel and struck a curb on Main Street near Country Club Road sometime before 1:30 p.m. The vehicle went onto the median and then overturned. The crash also knocked over a lamp post on the median.
The driver, age 60, sustained what were described as very minor injuries. A 7-year-old female passenger was not hurt. Traffic going north on Main Street was detoured onto East 23rd Street while the wreck was being cleared.
