Driver sought in Las Cruces hit-and-run that injured pedestrian

LAS CRUCES, NM - Police have released new details regarding a hit-and-run incident in Las Cruces that left a pedestrian injured, KTSM reports.

The crash happened on June 10 in the northbound lanes of South Telshor Boulevard, where a 19-year-old man was struck by a car shortly after 10 p.m.  The victim was critically injured and taken to University Medical Center of El Paso.

Police are seeking the public's help in tracking down the driver who left the scene without stopping to help.  Investigators said the vehicle they are looking for is a white 4-door sedan with a black front bumper.  The vehicle is likely to have significant damage to its front-end and hood.  The driver may have tried to conceal or make repairs to the car, police added. However, our personal injury attorney adds, the investigation is still ongoing.

Crime Stoppers of Las Cruces-Dona Ana County is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that helps lead to the driver or vehicle.

Should any additional information come to light, our Albuquerque car accident lawyer will update this news blog.
