Man charged in Albuquerque street racing crash that injured pedestrians

ALBUQUERQUE, NM - A man has been arrested in connection with a street racing crash in Albuquerque that injured a group of pedestrians, KOB reports.

18-year-old Abraham Corral Alvarez has been charged with three counts of DWI resulting in great bodily harm.

The incident happened late Saturday night at a Taco Bus food truck on Central Avenue.  Albuquerque police said three cars were street racing when one of them struck a divider along a bus lane.  The impact caused the car to go off the roadway, where it hit four bystanders waiting at the food truck.

Three of the victims were hospitalized.  Two were in critical condition while the other was listed in stable condition.

Police are still searching for the other drivers involved, who fled the scene of the accident.  Our Albuquerque car accident lawyer will provide any updates via this news blog as they are made publicly available.
