ALBUQUERQUE, NM - A man is facing criminal charges in connection with a crash that killed a pedestrian in Albuquerque earlier this month, according to a report from KRQE.
The incident took place Oct. 6, when a man was fatally struck by a black Isuzu SUV at Indian School Road NE and Louisiana Boulevard NE at about 11:15 p.m. Authorities said the driver left the scene, and the vehicle involved was later located at a home in northeast Albuquerque.
The alleged driver, identified as Jamphal Wangyal, has now been arrested on charges of homicide by vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident with great bodily harm or death. The investigation determined that the driver of the Isuzu had gone through a red light before hitting the pedestrian.
