DEMING, NM - A man is facing charges after crashing into a store in Deming last month, according to a report in the Deming Headlight.
Authorities said the 41-year-old Deming man was driving a car April 27 when he slammed into the Mimbres Valley Feed Store on Columbus Road. He was reported to have received medical treatment at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
The man has been charged with driving under the influence of drugs and driving without a license. He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in Luna County Magistrate Court and was released on an unsecured $5,000 bond. He faces a maximum prison sentence of 90 days on each of the two charges.
Witnesses told police the driver was weaving and speeding prior to the accident.
