SANTA FE, NM - The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene of a fatal car wreck last week, the Santa Fe New Mexican reports.
It happened in the vicinity of West Frontage Road on Aug. 3 sometime before 1:10 p.m.
According to the report, a passerby reported seeing a vehicle that was in thick brush near an arroyo off the roadway. When deputies arrived they found a 2004 GMC Yukon and a man about 30 yards away.
The man, identified as 41-year-old Santiago Rodriguez-Sosa, had died of injuries suffered in the crash of the SUV. It was discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen earlier that day.
