Man pleads guilty in Albuquerque crash that left 1 dead, 1 injured

ALBUQUERQUE, NM - A man charged in connection with a fatal crash in Albuquerque has pleaded guilty, KRQE reports.

The incident occurred in November 2021.  Authorities said 32-year-old Kyle Crespin was driving a Ford F-350 erratically at a high rate of speed on 4th Street. As he approached Hudson Avenue, his vehicle struck a Dodge pickup that was pulling out of a business.  A sedan then hit the back of the Dodge.

The driver of the Dodge was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the sedan was injured.  Police said alcohol, drugs and speed contributed to the wreck.

Crespin initially faced a DWI homicide by vehicle charge, but as part of the plea agreement last week, he pleaded guilty to homicide by vehicle by reckless driving.  He faces up to six years in prison when he is sentenced.  Should any additional information come to light, our Albuquerque car accident lawyer will update this news blog.
